Windsor M. Kuchler

Windsor M. Kuchler, age 91, of La Grande, died June 29, 2008 at the Grande Ronde Hospital. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center, 1502 7th Street. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Daniels~Knopp.

Mr. Kuchler was born on May 26, 1917, the son of Thomas Milton and Ruth (Day) Kuchler in Bismarck, North Dakota. He was educated in Flora. On December 28, 1937 he married Gail Bull in La Grande. He logged on the coast for many years. They moved to La Grande in 1963 where he farmed. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed his horses and cats.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Linda Kuchler of La Grande; daughter, Marian Stuckman of La Grande; brother, Foster Kuchler of Seattle; cousin, Creston Shaw of Cove; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by son-in-law, Bobby Stuckman and sister, Donna Collins.

In lieu of flowers friends may make contributions in his memory to the Blue Mtn. Humane Association.
