William Ernest Schulze

William Ernest Schulze, age 96, of La Grande, died March 5, 2005. A private graveside service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Galt Cemetery in Galt, California with Pastor Ken Raphael officiating and Robert W. Sculze assisting.

Mr. Schulze was born November 13, 1908, to William A. and
Anna Lake Schulze in Sacramento, California. He married Christene Alwilda Patterson on July 26, 1936 in Sacramento. He worked for over 40 years for Pacfic Gas and Electic Co. and lived in Galt for 51 yeaers. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church of Lodi, California and Colunteered with the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed photography and gardening.

Survivors include children and their spouses, William A. and Bonnie Schulze of Modesto, California, Pauline and Tharan Cook of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Barbara Trick of La Grande; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. His wife, a sister, Anita S. Hill and a son-in-law, Richard Trick, all died earlier.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association or to any charity.
