Wendy Amy Jorgensen

Wendy Amy Jorgensen, age 59, of La Grande, died March 30, 2017 at the Grande Ronde Hospital. A celebration of life service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday April 8, 2017 at Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center, 1502 7th Street in La Grande. Those who wish may make contributions in her memory to the charity of their choice.

Wendy was born on May 16, 1957, the daughter of Elton Eugene and Pauline (Gautier) Lindsey in Pocatello, Idaho. She was educated in Pocatello until high school when they moved to La Grande. She graduated from La Grande High School with the class of 1975. In 1976 she married Jerry Jorgensen in La Grande. They lived in Hermiston for a few years before returning to La Grande. Over the years she worked at various places as a caregiver, including Valley View Manor and Wildflower Lodge. Her family was her first priority. She liked keeping her garden and yard looking nice and enjoyed going for rides in the mountains. She loved spending time with family and watching her children's sporting events.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Jorgensen; sons and their wives, Eric and Brook Jorgensen and Ryan and Jacy Jorgensen; five grandchildren, Hunter, Cole, Abby, Ella and Cain, all of La Grande; brother, Randy Lindsey of La Grande; sisters, Cindy Wilson of Hermiston and Roxanne Flintoff of La Grande; three nieces; five nephews and other relatives and friends.
