Wanda Jean Allison

May 2, 1943 — April 26, 2004

Wanda Jean Allison, age 60, of Umatilla and formerly of La Grande died April 26, 2004 at her home. The funeral will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2004 at the Hermiston Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Hermiston Cemetery.

Mrs. Allison was born on May 2, 1943 to John and Treasa Brown Defries in La Grande. She married Bill Allison on August 7, 1966 in Hermiston. They were later divorced. She was the coordinator for several years of the Missionette program at the Assembly of God Church and director of the children's Christmas program. She enjoyed camping trips to Wallowa Lake and watching her children and grandchildren playing baseball, softball and bowling.

Survivors include her children, Teena Gibson and Tessa Erickson, both of Pendleton, Tami Scott of Lafayette, Kentucky and Terri Harmon of Umatilla; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Charles Defries of Kennewick, Washington; sisters, Helen Kenneda of Nampa, Idaho, Nadine Wood of Las Vegas, Lois Henderson of La Grande, Pat Sansburn and Donna Weber, both of Eugene, Myrtle Halley and Marcheta Engstrom, both of Kansas City, Julia Gilbert of Elma, Washington, Reba Moore of Athena, Frieda Beach and Barabara Ackerman, both of Hermiston, Roxa Isitt of Bellevue, Washington and Joyve Walker of Selah, Washington; two brothers, John and Delbert Defries, died earlier.
