Walter "Larry" Sweet

Walter "Larry" Sweet, age 73, of La Grande, died Friday, November 12, 2004 at a local care facility. At his request there will be no public services. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Sweet was born on March 2, 1931, the son of Walter and Mary Sweet of La Grande, in Portland, Oregon. He was educated in La Grande and served in the United States Military. He took over the family meat cutting business, Sweet's Meats until 1975. He was a member of the La Grande Elks Lodge #433 and enjoyed hunting.

Survivors include his sons, Brad Sweet of Manzanita, Oregon, Mike Sweet of San Antonio, Texas and Brian Sweet of La Grande; seven grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
