Vivian Pearl Reeves

October 5, 1918 — December 21, 2005

Vivian Pearl Reeves, 87, of Boise and formerly of La Grande, died Dec, 21. A memorial service is being planned in Boise after the holidays. Mrs. Reeves will be buried in La Grande.

Mrs. Reeves was born Oct. 5, 1918,in Greybull, Wyo., to James Frank and Mary Pearl Gould. She married Clifford Elton Reeves on Sept. 27, 1937, in Basin, Wyo. The couple had three children, Jean Marie Stevens, Elton (Curly) Frank Reeves, and Kenneth Gould Reeves.

Mrs. Reeves passion was her husband and children, all of whom she loved dearly and made the focus of her life. She also loved flowers and cooking delicious meals with beautiful table settings. Family get togethers were her greatest joy. Mrs. Reeves life exemplified dedication to family and church.

In 1967 Elton and Vivian moved to La Grande. On Feb. 29, 1968, they joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This membership gave their life new meaning and some of their very happiest years. Mrs. Reeves sent birthday cards to her entire ward for nine years.

She is survived by her children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husband died earlier.
