Virginia May Portillo, 64, died June 13 in Baker City at a local care center. A private service will be held at the Oregon coast. Gray's West & Co. Pioneer Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Virginia was born June 5, 1947, in Billings, Mont., to Raymond and Flora (Rodriguez) Portillo. She graduated from high school in Sacramento, Calif., and became a homemaker and mother.
She loved reading books, watching television and crocheting.
Survivors include her daughters, Rosie Beith of La Grande and Amy Crystal Portillo of Eugene; two sons, Oden Green of Eugene and Alex S. Green of Arizona; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Flora Portillo; brother, David Portillo; daughter, Dee Dee Green; and grandson, Bobbie Straw.
