Veytha Irene Ruckman Berry

Veytha Irene Ruckman Berry, 87, of Woodland, Washington and formerly of La Grande died September 12, 2005. The funeral will be conducted Friday at the Vineland Cemetery in Clarkston, Washington.

Mrs. Berry was born Veytha Irene Coombes July 11, 1918 in Republic, Washington. She attended school in Baker City and lived in La Grande from 1962 to 1992 when she moved to Woodland. She married Tom Ruckman and after his death she married James Berry. She worked as a medical assistant and was a member of the La Grande chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed fishing, duck hunting and traveling in her motorhome.

Survivors include her husband of Woodland; children, Jerry McCall of Vernonia, Bob McCall of The Dalles, Trudie Westfield of Salt Lake City, Kathy Andrews of Lafayette, Georgia and Cherie Coleman of Troy, Idaho; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
