Vadis "Sue" Ballantyne

May 16, 1919 — October 17, 2005

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, in the Canby Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for Vadis "Sue " Ballantyne, who died Oct. 17 at age 86.

Vadis "Sue" Baxter was born May 16, 1919, in Cove,and moved to Portland in 1938. She graduated from Franklin Hugh School and Brigham Young University and was a legal secretary, a homemaker, and later a social worker for LDS Social services and a travel agent for the united States Dental Tennis Association for about 20 years. In 1985 and 1986, she was a missionary to Egypt. She moved to Wilsonville in 1987. In 1939, she married Gordon T.

survivors include her husband; son, Kent; daughters, Karen Ballantyne, Ann Hagler and Joanie Schaefer; brother, Verne Baxter; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
