Treshia E. Conrad

December 29, 1906 — March 10, 2011

Treshia E. Conrad, 104, of Hermiston and formerly of Union, died March 10 at Sun Terrace Assisted Living in Hermiston. Her funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cove Methodist Church. Burial will be at Cove Cemetery.

Treshia was born Dec. 29, 1906, at Malta, Idaho, daughter of Roy and Ethel Irene (Rice) Emigh. She attended Burley High School in 1923 and Eugene High School in 1924 and 1925. She graduated from Normal Training School in Monmouth, earning her Oregon State Teacher's Certificate on Sept. 3, 1926.

On Nov. 24, 1926, she married Thomas Eugene Conrad.

Treshia was a teacher, seamstress and homemaker. She lived in many places throughout her life, including Burley, Idaho, Eugene, Monmouth, La Grande, Cove, Union and Hermiston.

She loved sewing, baking, canning, cards, crafts and gardening. She loved covered bridges and was a collector. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Home Extension, Card Club and TOPS. She was honored as Queen of TOPS.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Templeton of Hermiston and Valgene Standley of La Grande; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Treshia was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ethel; sisters, Martha Knapp and Frances Bartron; brothers, Les Emigh, Bill Emigh and Thomas Douglas Emigh; and daughter, Adarene Ogden.
