Terrell Jewel Galloway

February 17, 1984 — June 18, 2011

Terrell Jewel Galloway, age 27, of Elgin, died June 18, 2011 at his farm. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elgin Cemetery. A potluck dinner will be held following, at the Elgin Community Center Park.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center.

Terrell was born on February 17, 1984, the son of Steven and Elizabeth Ann (Smith) Galloway in La Grande. He was raised in Elgin and graduated from Elgin High School with the class of 2002. He received the Most Valuable Player award in football his senior year. His life was farming since he was tiny and loved every minute of it. He loved driving around the farm on the Gator with his dogs checking his crops.

Terrell was an accomplished trapshooter, winning many awards and was the 1998 Oregon State Handicap Champion. He was a consideration for the US. Olympic Trapshooting Team at one time. He loved to ride his motorcycle, whether it be just for changing pipe or playing around. He enjoyed hunting deer and elk, riding snowmobiles and bird hunting with the dogs he trained.
Survivors include his parents of Elgin; sisters, Crystal Galloway and Kimberly Galloway, both of Elgin and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Those who wish may make contributions in his memory to the CHD or Wallowa Gun Club in care of Daniels~Knopp, 1502 7th Street in La Grande.
