Tammy Renee Brock

April 26, 1971 — April 17, 2006

Tammy Renee Brock, age 34, of La Grande, died Monday at her home. A memorial service followed by a potluck gathering will be held on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Presbyterian Friendship Center.

Tammy was born on April 26, 1971, the daughter of Mary Smith and Steven Brock in Bremerton, Washington. She moved to La Grande as a child and attended Willow Elementary School, La Grande Middle School and La Grande High School, graduating with the class of 1988. She was married to Chris Fry and she worked as a childcare provider.

Tammy was a member of the Faith Center and worked with the Neighbor to Neighbor program. She loved her children, fishing and traveling. She was very artistic and enjoyed drawing, knitting, crafts, flower arranging, and wreath making. She also loved music, enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Brock of La Grande; children, Conner Fry, Caylyn Fry and Tyler Pierce all of La Grande; brother, J.T. James of Richland; sister and brother-in-law, Tara and Dain Awmiller of La Grande; nephews, Colin and Mason Awmiller; grandparents, Carol and Duane Wisdom of North Powder; aunts and uncles, Robert and Gale Smith of Emmett, Idaho, Greg and Joan Smith of Nampa, Idaho, David and Carol Smith of Eagle River, Alaska, Julie and Mike Chapman of Carson City, Nevada and Stephanie Jyl Smith of Granada Hills, California; and many family friends. Her grandfather, Robert Smith, preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Tammy Brock Memorial Fund in care of Daniels Chapel of the Valley, 1502 7th Street, La Grande, Oregon 97850
