Stanley "Stan" Arthur Parker

Stanley Arthur "Stan" Parker, 76, of Wasco and formerly of Union, died Sept. 10 at his home.

A memorial celebration will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Sherman County Senior Center. Private cremation was held.

Stan was born April 24, 1932, to Clifford and Celia E. (Moore) Parker in Baker. He grew up in Pondosa and went to school in Union.

Stan married Velna Mae Hall. She preceded him in death in 1996. He lived in Wasco for the last 22 years and is retired from Local 701 Engineers.

He is survived by his four children, Susan Lissman and her husband, Lorrin, Doug Parker and his wife, Kathy, Deniece Asher and Craig Hooper and W. Ray Parker; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Heart of Hospice, 1020 Wasco St., Suite C, Hood River 97031 and/or Sherman County Senior Center, 300 Dewey St., Moro 97039.
