Stanley Wade Boatman

Stanley Wade Boatman, 58, formerly of Union, died Feb. 15 at his home in Umatilla. He was born April 21, 1950, in Grants Pass to parents, Eugene and Clarice (Jones) Boatman.

He went to school at South Salem High School, where he was a star football player. He married Sandra Iwen in 1968 and they had three sons in Salem. They moved to Union in 1984. He was active in his sons' sports activities. He loved to hunt and fish.

He was divorced in 1994 and married Donna Brown in 1995. They later divorced.

He was preceded in death by ex-wife, Donna; father, Eugene; and brother Mike Boatman.

He is survived by his three sons and their spouses, Stanley and Angela Boatman of La Grande, Steven and Carol Boatman of Wasilla, Alaska, and Scott and Tara Boatman of Lake Oswego; mother, Clarice Boatman of Molalla; two brothers; four sisters; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At his request, there will be no services. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Disposition was by cremation.
