Sheryl Ranae Barnes

Sheryl Ranae Barnes, 50, of La Grande, died of complications of pneumonia Oct. 11. A celebration of life will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Faith Center in Island City. Pastor David Eddy will officiate. A reception will follow.

Sheryl was born July 20, 1960, to Leland L. and Sharon R. Snyder in La Grande. She attended La Grande High School. Sheryl worked in catering and customer service.

She enjoyed spending time with friends and loved ones. She played darts and was part of a pool league. She enjoyed crocheting. She was a member of the Eagles.

Survivors include her children, Wayne Barnes and his companion, Katie Hately, of La Grande, LeeAnna Barnes of La Grande and Rikki Barnes of La Grande; siblings and their spouses, Shar and Las Lequerica of La Grande, Brett and Karen Snyder of Kent, Wash., Tony and Nancy Snyder of Winnemucca, Nev., Danette Snyder-Bright and Jim Bright of La Grande and Larry and Brandi Snyder of Winnemucca, Nev.; five grandchildren; and 13 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Genevieve Louise Powell.

Memorial contributions may be made to Loveland Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
