Scott was born on June 30, 1986, the son of Robert and Susan (Risseeuw) Coulter in La Grande. He was home schooled and attended Eastern Oregon University and Oregon State, and was excited about going back this fall. Some of his happiest times were when he went on medical mission trips with his family to Nigeria and Ecuador, where he worked hard with surgical teams in the O.R. and pharmacy. He was also a member of the La Grande Rifle Club where he enjoyed target shooting. He was extremely intelligent, an avid reader, had a steady common sense, and spent many enjoyable hours discussing current topics with his family and friends. He was an excellent cook and loved to experiment and create new dishes for his family and friends to enjoy. Other favorite pastimes included photography, snowboarding, listening to music, soccer, bowling, wakeboarding, and being around the people he loved. He took pleasure in online gaming which, along with his mission trips, allowed him to build lasting friendships worldwide. He will be remembered as a very brilliant, quick witted, caring, tender hearted man who loved his family and was passionate about his faith.
