Ruth Janette Roe

Ruth Janette Roe, age 81, of La Grande, died Monday, October 21, 2002 at the Grande Ronde Hospital.


Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in La Grande on Friday, October 25, 2002 at 2 pm. Pastor Wayne Pickens will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels Chapel of the Valley.


Mrs. Roe was born on November 28, 1920, the daughter of Clayton and Pearl (Wilson) Lillie in Spokane, Washington. She married Nile Roe in Weiser, Idaho on May 20, 1940


Mrs. Roe was an avid Bridge player and enjoyed her needlework. She was a member of the Grande Ronde Hospital Auxiliary and the La Grande Emblem Club.


Survivors include her husband, Nile of La Grande; sons, Terry Roe of Boring, Oregon, and Bob Roe of Tigard, and daughter, Sue Bohlmann of Hood River, Oregon; six grandchildren; she was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Dawson and Wilma Rabe.
