Russell T. Eoff

Russell T. Eoff, 85, of Elgin, died at his home March 27.

A life tribute and celebration will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church at 14th and Alder streets in Elgin.

Russ was born Nov. 15, 1922, to Henry and Margaret Edge Eoff in Independence. He graduated from Benson Technical High School in Portland in 1940. He worked as a welder in the Portland shipyards during the war, and also farmed the Cederbrook Dairy with his brothers and his parents in Sherwood.

He moved to the Elgin area in 1971 and remained there the rest of his life. He married Grace Clark on June 4, 1950, and they had five children.

Russell is survived by four children: Russell of Wallowa, Judy Cunningham of Lynwood, Wash., Pam Fery of Hillsboro and Mary Thompson of Tigard; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; a daughter, Nancy; and a son, Howard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tualatin National Wildlife Refuge of Sherwood in care of Loveland Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 1508 Fourth Street, La Grande 97850.
