Rosalie Elizabeth Niederer

September 29, 1923 — January 8, 2013

Rosalie Elizabeth Niederer died on January 8, 2013, in La Grande, in her home at Jody's Country Care. At her request there will be no public services. Those who wish may make contributions in her memory to the GRH Hospice.

She was born to David B. and Winnie E. Lefebvre in Haines, Oregon on September 29, 1923.

She graduated from La Grande High School and went to business college in Portland, and secured a job with a Portland insurance company.

On September 26, 1944 she married Roy L. Niederer. They lived all their married life in La Grande. Roy preceded her in death in March of 2011.

She worked for Perkins Motor Company, Reynolds Insurance, the La Grande Clinic, and many years for Dr. Wesley Allen.
Rosalie enjoyed so much her volunteer work for the Grande Ronde Hospital as a Pink Lady. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved the countless hours they spent together playing games. A five generations photo was taken to commemorate her becoming a great-great grandmother in July, 2012.

She leaves her daughter Colette Tissue and son-in-law Richard of Keizer, and daughter Shari Wagg of Trapper Lake, AK; two grandchildren, Wendy Roberts and husband Stanley of Salem and Jeffrey Schatz of Damascus; two great grandchildren, Chelsea Roberts and Caleb Roberts of Salem; a great-great granddaughter Jaidynn Swogger of Salem; and a nephew David M. Lefebvre. Her brother David E. Lefebvre preceded her in death in 1991.
