Robert "Bob" H. Stein, 83, a long-time resident of La Grande, died May 11 at Oregon Veterans Home in The Dalles.
A service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Island City Cemetery, 11003 S. McAlister Road.
Family friend and celebrant speaker Bob Huskey will officiate.
Military rites will be performed by the Oregon Honors Team. A reception and time of fellowship will follow at Island City City Hall, 10605 Island Ave.
Viewing will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Loveland Funeral Chapel in La Grande.
Bob's family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Nature Conservancy, Oregon Veterans Home or Hospice of the Gorge in care of Anderson's Tribute Center, 1401 Belmont Ave., Hood River 97031.
