Rena May Zurbrick

Rena May Zurbrick, age 90, of Summerville, died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at the Grande Ronde Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center, 1502 7th Street, La Grande.

Mrs. Zurbrick was born on July 26, 1917, the daughter of Dillard Raymond and Etta Carrie (Woodell) Choate, in Summerville. She graduated from Imbler High School in 1935 and later Draper Business College. She lived in California from 1960 until 1970. She worked as a bookkeeper and was married to Al Colip and later Harrison W. Zurbrick.

Mrs. Zurbrick was past Secretary of the Union County Fair Board and enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include sister, Arleen Pratt of La Grande; her nephew, Roddy Campbell of Summerville and other relatives and friends. Those who wish may make contributions in memory of Mrs. Zurbrick to the Summerville Cemetery Chapel.
