Raymond Faller, age 69, of La Grande and formerly of Thousand Oaks, California, died Thursday, October 3, 2002 at the Grande Ronde Hospital. At his request there will be no public services.
Mr. Faller was born on April 28, 1933, the son of Henry and Eleanor (Carrey) Faller in Queens, New York. During the Korean War he served with the United States Navy. He worked as a sales manager of medical equipment for many years before owning and operating his own sign brokerage.
On December 30, 1973 he married Norma (Bollotin) Machlovitz in Tarzana, California. They moved to La Grande from California in April of 2001 to be near family. He was a type "A" personality with an interest in classic cars and antique planes. He was a World War II buff and loved children. He and Norma loved to travel and traveled many miles in their car.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Faller of La Grande; children, Barbara Faller of Thousand Oaks, California, Lawrence Faller of Temecula, California, Brian Faller, Tom Faller of South Carolina, Michael Faller of Boise, Idaho, Debra Votaw of La Grande, Wendy Machlovitz of Sherman Oaks, California and Stacy Rodriguez of Thousand Oaks, California; six grandchildren; brother, George Faller of Florida; and other relatives and friends.
