Randy Arlen Knight

Randy Arlen Knight, 57, of Union, died Nov. 4 at his home. His memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at The Place, 62846 Philynda Loop in La Grande.

Randy was born Nov. 9, 1952, to Floyd Arlen and Cora Jean (Hewitt) Knight at Denver. He graduated from La Grande High School in 1970 and went on to a successful career as a forester for the Forest Service.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, Aikido, nature and history.

He is survived by his parents, Floyd and Jean Knight of Island City; two sons, Joe Knight and his wife, Jamie, of La Grande, and Eleazar Knight of Union; sister, Linda and her husband, Russ Graham, of La Grande; aunts and uncles, Rose and Joe Adams of Denver, Colo., June Ehmke of Denver and Paul Morris of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one grandchild; and two nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by grandparents, Floyd and Martha Knight and Marshall and Desta Hewitt; aunts and uncle, Beth Britain, Mayola Farrar and Ted Knight; and cousin, Mark Britain.
