Phillip "Phil" Dare Yeargain

Phillip "Phil" Dare Yeargain, age 71, of Union, passed away on November 11, 2004 at his home. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, at 1:00 p.m. at the Union Cemetery with Jerry Baxter officiating.

Phil was born on August 19, 1933 in Hawasse, Arkansas to Earl and Christine Skaggs Yeargain. He graduated from high school in Sulfur Springs, Arkansas. He later joined the Army and served his country in Germany during the Korean War. Phil graduated from what is now Boise State University. He married Trudy Wilde on December 31, 1960 in Union. Phil dedicated his life to ranching. He also raised and showed registered Angus. His love for ranching was recognized in 1996 when he won Union County Cattleman of the Year. He owned and operated the Chevron Station in Union for over 25 years.

He is survived by his wife Trudy of Union; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kristy of Boise and two grandchildren. His son, Monte Dare and his parents preceded him in death.
