Pearl was born March 25, 1920 in Wallowa, Oregon to Allie Mable (Norton) Fisher and Herbert Jack Fisher. She followed two sets of twin girls. She grew up in Southeast Washington and attended high school in Creston Washington where she played and loved basketball. On September 12, 1938 she married Ray William Trump in a double ceremony with her sister Eveline, and Ray's brother Ermal in College Place, Washington. They were married 67 years until his death in March, 2006. Pearl was one of the first members of the Elgin Seventh Day Adventist church. She was the president of an active ladies organization (Dorcas) for many years. She attended weekly even after moving to La Grande with the assistance of her son, Robert.

Pearl and Ray's early life took them to Pondosa where Ray worked in the woods. They moved to Elgin in the 1940's and to their "home at 310 N 10th in 195l. She was a volunteer "Sky Watch" member and spent many hours in the "field" watching for any war planes which might invade the US.

Christmas was her favorite holiday. Her first memory was waking up on Christmas morning to find a child sized doll"Mary Jane" her mother had made for her. She loved to watch her children and grandchildren open presents on Christmas morning. Pearl loved her animals. She had many little dogs over the years who were her constant companions. She had a horse "Blackie" that she rode often and every elk hunting season for many years. Pearl was a bookkeeper at the Union County Grain Growers for many years. She also was a waitress, a farm girl (her first job in Spangle, Washington.) She built up a booming Shaklee business where she won an all expense paid vacation/trip to San Francisco. Later she was the full time care-giver for her husband, once losing him while she was shopping at Safeway. She found him several hours later waiting for her at the doctor's office. Pearl had a love for her stuffed animals, especially those that moved and made noise, rubber spiders, snakes, rats or anything with she could tease others. She enjoyed reading her Bible, working in her garden, sunbathing and ordering "treasures" from various catalogs.

Her survivors include: children; Dennis Trump, Tuscon, AZ, Robert and Mary Trump, Elgin, Terral and Jack Schut, La Grande, and Tamara Robinson/O'Leary, Warrenton, OR.; grandchildren: Alicia Anderson, Robert Trump II, Katie Slater, Stephanie Schut, Dorie Helgeson, Darrin Trump, Ryan Robinson, and a special granddaughter, Francine Zerbel, and 10 great grandchildren.
