Patricia Arlene Palmer

February 11, 1935 — February 14, 2004

Patricia Arlene Palmer, age 69, of Ukiah and formerly of Kelso, Washington, died Saturday, February 14, 2004 at the Grande Ronde Hospital. At her request there will be no public services. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Oregon Lung Association in care of Daniels Chapel of the Valley, 1502 7th Street, La Grande, Oregon 97850.

Mrs. Palmer was born on February 11, 1935, the daughter of Ralph Edward and Virginia Arlene (Wolfe) Fowler in Portland, Oregon. The family later moved to Kelso, Washington and she was a 1953 graduate of Kelso High. Her high school years were of great importance to her and she was involved in many things, including Sophomore Specialty, Jr/Sr Play, Office 2 & 3, Operation Production, The Lassies, Highland Echo, Bagpipe staff and roller skating dancing. She returned for every class reunion and kept in touch with many classmates. She was a member of the Kelso Elks Emblem Club and Eagles Auxiliary.

Mrs. Palmer worked as a secretary for many years; her last position was with J & J Concrete Construction in Kelso. She retired in 1997 and moved to Ukiah to be near family. She loved crafts, the outdoors, the beach and especially her children and grandchildren. She was known as a kind hearted woman with a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Denise Croteau of Ukiah, Dennis Eddy of Kelso, Washington, Deanna Manning of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Teresa Lynch of Ukiah and Karleen Aichele of Tigard; step-son, Brian Palmer of Oregon City; sixteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
