Orville "Bud" Wayne Tyler

Orville Wayne "Bud" Tyler, age 88, of Union, died November 20, 2011 at Jodi's Foster Care in Union Oregon surrounded by his family. At his request there will be no public service at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center.

Mr. Tyler was born on July 5, 1923, the son of Joseph and Mabel (Grisdale) Tyler in Durkee, Oregon. He was educated in Halfway and moved to Cornucopia Oregon and Mullan Idaho to work in mines. On October 10, 1942 he married Dorothy Marie Maguire. He was proud to serve with the United States Navy during WWII. He lived in Richland, Oregon until moving to Union, Oregon in 1947. During his lifetime he ran a dairy and cut timber before working for the Union County Road Department for 27 years. After retirement he enjoyed farming on the family ranch. He was a member of the Union Sportsman Club and the Cove Sportsman Club as well as the American Legion and the Eagles Lodge.

He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed boating and camping. He was a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He loved animals, especially his dogs and was a gifted welder, mechanic, and machine operator. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his sons and their wives, Dale and Patti Tyler of Ridgecrest, California and Duane and Barbara Tyler of Union; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy in 2010, and a grandson, Darren Tyler. He was the last of his family, having been preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
