Obituary for Neva Jane Walker

Neva Jane Walker, age 76, of Elgin, OR went to heaven to be with her Lord on February 3, 2012.

Neva was born June 26, 1935, in Pittsburg, IL, to Terelius and Allie (Rice) Mocaby. She was one of 18 children, with 6 who survive.

On June 25, 1955 she was married to Clifford George (Ted) Field, in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on Feb.2, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Chastity Field, in Aug. 1999.

Neva is survived by her children, Vicky and Tom Raymond of West Frankfort, IL Paul and Kathy Field of Roseburg, OR, Marlene and Louis Ligon of Benton, IL Rebecca and Keith Stubblefield of St. Johns, FL, Barbara and Brett Dunston of West Frankfort, IL; and grandchildren, David Raymond, Jennifer Murray, Paul David Field, Forrest Field, Brett Dunston Jr., Brigett Fitch, and Chelsea Stubblefield and 9 great grandchildren.

On October 17, 1984 Neva married Ronald Walker in La Grande, Oregon (who survives)
along with three step children Rhonda and Jerry Roe of Pilot Rock, OR, Keith and Holly Walker of La Grande, Brian Walker of La Grande; and grandchildren, Jason Walker, James McDownough, Leigh McDownough, Dan Huddleston Jr., Icy Roe, and 7 great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lisa Gibson for her loving care of Neva.

Neva worked as a caregiver to others and enjoyed her home and yard. She was a member of the Christian Life Center in Elgin and will be remembered by all for her love of Jesus, her Godly wisdom, faithfulness, generosity and sense of humor. In the words of her family: "Our loss is heaven's gain. We will see you soon Mom as promised by God's word in 1st Thessalonians 4:13-17."

At Neva's request, there will be no services. She will be laid to rest at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Poordo, IL.
