Nancy San Filippo

Nancy San Filippo, age 70, of Cove and formerly of San Jose,
California, died Saturday, October 12, 2002 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at Daniels Chapel of the Valley on
Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Don Camp officiating. Private interment will be held at the Cove Cemetery.

Mrs. San Filippo was born on December 30, 1931, the daughter of
William "Bill" and Geraldine (Woodruff) Steimer in Chicago, Illinois. The family moved to Southern California when she was young and she graduated
from El Segundo High School in 1950. Nancy and her husband Edward moved their family to Cove from San Jose, California in March of 1978. Her husband preceded her in death on July 31, 1984.

Mrs. San Filippo worked at the Cove School Library for 13 years.
She was best known for her dedication to the Cove Schools and to the students. She worked at the Cove Ascension School and was a member of the Cove Booster Club. She was also involved with the Union County Home Extension Services.


Survivors include her children, Gary San Filippo of Cove, Linda
and Jim Grilli of San Jose, California, Sherri and Robert Fumo of Fremont, California, Denise and Paul Stoaks of Round Rock, Texas, Ron and Karen San Filippo of Kent, Washington and Marlene San Filippo of Round Rock, Texas; grandchildren Jacob, Russell, Lisa, Giuliana, Phillip, Lydia and Megan; brothers, Richard Steimer of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jack Steimer of Springfield, Oregon. Brothers Skip, Bobby, and Roy preceded her in death.
