Myrna was born on April 10, 1941, the daughter of Fred E. and Della (Wiemer) Rees in La Grande. After the death of her father her mother married Carl "Bud" Overman who became a very important part of her life. She attended La Grande Schools and in 1958 she married Terry Edvalson. The lure of the tropics took them and two small sons to the island of Guam. From Guam the little family and baby Kelly, went to Coos Bay, Oregon. A winter in Oregon made them realize how much they missed the tropical weather, so back they went to Island living. Life on the islands of Yap, Ponpei, and Saipan was full of rich experiences. They returned to live in La Grande permanently in 1977.
Myrna was active in the community and spent many volunteer hours at the Union County Historical Museum in Union. She leaves many friends and acquaintances. Myrna, we shall miss you.
