Muriel Greenslade Abbott

Muriel Greenslade Abbott, 91, of La Grande died April 29. A celebration of life will begin at 11 am Wednesday at Loveland Funeral Home. Mrs. Abbott was born July 13, 1913, to Victor Bailey and Augusta Vinzelberg Greenslade in Huntington. She married Robert W. Abbott and moved to La Grande in 1946. After his death in 1972 she attended college and made the dean's list. She worked for Hand Ford Co. and Eastern Oregon College. She enjoyed crochet, playing bingo and games of all kinds, working crossword puzzles and traveling.

Survivors include children and their spouses, Wade and Lolamae Abbott of Summerville, Kaye and Harold Rogers of La Grande, Victor and Barbara Abbott of SummervilleNancy Sargeant of Tualatin and James and Mary Abbott of Spokane, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren. A brother, Basil Greenslade and a baby daughter died earlier.
