Maxine Lorenzen

Maxine Lorenzen, 86, of Bend and formerly of La Grande, died February 15, 2006 at St. Charles Hospital in Bend. Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. March 1 and again March 3 at Loveland Funeral Chapel. The funeral will begin at 2:00 p.m. on March 4 at the La Grande First Christian Church, 901 Penn Avenue.

Mrs. Lorenzen was born October 26, 1919 to Helene and John Bowen in Anselmo, Nebraska. She married George D. Lorenzen and lived in Montana, Wyoming and Texas before settling in La Grande, where she lived for more than 50 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church, the Blue Mountain Gem Club and the Tri-Mountain Good Sams Club and enjoyed crochet, reading, working puzzles and being with her family.

Survivors include a son, Terry Lorenzen of Sunriver; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Her husband, a sister, a son and a daughter all died earlier.
