Marjorie Mae (Lewis) Ledridge, age 83, of Vancouver, Washington and formerly of La Grande, died Saturday, September 4, 2010 of natural causes. At her request there will be no public funeral or graveside. Those who wish may sign the on-line guest book at www.danielsknopp.com.
Marjorie was born on July 18, 1927, in Richland, Oregon, the daughter of George W. and Aletha E. (Powers) Lewis. The family moved to Idaho where she attended schools in Helmer and Deary. The family then moved to Wallowa where she also attended school. They later moved to La Grande where she finished her schooling. On June 12, 1952 she married Richard Davis Ledridge in La Grande. She worked as a secretary for various offices over the years, retiring from Boise Cascade. Her hobbies included camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting and traveling in their motorhome. She was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Survivors include her sons and their wives, Ron and Nancy Ledridge of Laurel, Montana, George and Susan Ledridge of Vancouver, Washington; daughter, Kathy Harris of Billings, Montana; sister, Viola Dillman of Coos Bay, Oregon; brothers, Virgil Lewis of Cove and David and Meg Lewis of Richland, Washington; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; twenty-four great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by her parents, George and Aletha Lewis; husband, Richard Ledridge; son, Dennis Ledridge; sister, Lila and brother, Robert.
