Marjorie Sue (Blankenship) Brown, 81, passed away, Thursday, February 23, 2006 in Las Vegas Nevada after a short illness.
Marjorie, (Sue to her friends and family) was born in Baker City Oregon July 26, 1924 to Elmer and Claretta Blankenship. She was married three times, to William Gardner, Edward Moeller and Darrell Brown.
She lived in Baker City many years, where she owned and operated 10th Street Market. After selling the store she moved to Pendleton and worked for the local cable company. After leaving there she moved to Astoria where her and her husband Darrell owned Miles Grocery. She and Darrell retired when selling the store, moving to Union, Oregon and later to La Grande, to be closer to her son, where they lived until moving to Las Vegas, to live with her daughter
Sue is survived by her brother, Darrell Perry and his wife Pat, The Dalles, Or and her sons and daughter, Frank C. Gardner of Burns Oregon, Michael E Moeller and his wife Joleen of La Grande Oregon, and Teresa M. Schalk and her husband David of Las Vegas Nevada, her step-children Ramona Aamold and her husband Jeff of Phoenix Arizona, Harry Brown and his wife Solidad of Radium Springs, New Mexico.
Also, by her Grandchildren, Ken Stultz Jr. and Robert Stultz Sr. of Las Vegas Nevada, Vicki O'Brien of Astoria Oregon, Lori Kotter of Portland Oregon, Joseph Moeller of Boise Idaho and Angela and Robert Brown of Radium Springs, New Mexico, and by 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Louise Hixson and Norma Davis, her brothers, Harold and Frank Blankenship and her husband Darrell.
She was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
Graveside services will be held at the Union Oregon cemetery on Saturday March 4th at 11:00 am.
