Marie Almetta Delepierre, age 91, of Cove, formerly of Haines, died May 2, 2010, at a local care
facility. A memorial service will be held July 17, 2010, at 11:00 AM in the Haines City Park with a
picnic/potluck for family and friends to follow. Pastor Gordon Bond of the Richland Christian Church will officiate. At her request, her ashes will be scattered together with those of her second husband, Cel, in Haines.
Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Delepierre was born on November 18, 1918, the only child of Jesse and Minnie (Woodworth) Osborn in Baker, Oregon. She married Cecil Samuel Stultz in 1937. They lived in Haines, Union, Chehallis, Telocaset and Baker City. Cecil preceded her in death in 1982. She later married Henry Marcel 'Cel' Delepierre in 1987 and resided with him in Haines until his death in 2004.
Her interests included oil painting, gardening, seeking huckleberries and mushrooms, fishing,camping and playing cards such as Canasta and Pinochle. She never tired of playing with her
beloved cat, Katie, or feeding and watching the squirrels in her back yard.
Survivors include her children Elaine and Ike Warwick of Roseburg, OR; Helen and Don Boesch of Pendleton, OR; Ken and Judy Stultz of Baker City, OR; Darrell and Glenna Stultz of Union, OR;
Recia and Jim Plummer of Elma, WA; Linda and Bill Soles of Weippe, ID; Wendell and Patty Lewis of
Sutherlin, OR; Debbie and Darrell Millman of Cove, OR, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband's Cecil in 1982, and Cel in 2004, an infant son, Ronald Gene Stultz in 1942, and a step-son, Edward Stultz in 1980.
