Margie Cordova, 56, of Portland and formerly of Enterprise, died Nov. 5 in Portland after and extended illness. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. June 30, 2007 at the First Christian Church in La Grande.

Margie was born March 13, 1950, in Enterprise to Eugene and Donna Campbell Jewell. At a young age, she and her family moved to La Grande. She graduated from La Grande High School. In her senior year, Margie married Jim Trump. The couple had one son. After her divorce she married Benny Cordova and they had one son together before they divorced.

Margie drove a TriMet bus in Portland for the elderly and disabled until her health forced her to quit. She was proud of her good driving record. She was a firm believer in the Oregon donor program and donated her body to be studied for her illness, hoping that research could help someone else. In the last few years, she lived with her friend and caregiver, Judy Rice.

Survivors include her mother, Donna Campbell of La Grande; son, Justin Cordova of Portland; sister Shirley Harris of Albany; half siblings, Debbie Taylor and Mike Jewell; four grandchildren; and her caregiver and friend, Judy Rice of Portland. She was preceded in death by her father and a son, Todd Trump.
