Marge Raff, age 88, of La Grande died Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at the Grande Ronde Hospital. A celebration of life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Daniels Chapel of the Valley. Committal and interment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Raff was born on March 14, 1917, the daughter of Cecil and Edna (Granger) Angeroth in Idaho. She graduated from high school in Idaho and on March 4, 1937 she married Glen Raff in Minidoka, Idaho. They moved to La Grande from Nampa, Idaho in June of 1942. She attended St. Peter's Episcopal Church. She was an avid gardener and raised hundred of violets and had a special love of irises. Her life revolved around her family and she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Richard "Dick" Raff of Auburn, Washington and Elizabeth "Betty" Turley of La Grande; grandchildren, Sheri Raff, Rick Raff, Dan Turley, Mark Turley, David Turley, Mike Turley, Matt Turley and Lisa Butler; great grandchildren, Michael Turley, Andrea Burrows, Sara Turley, Shawn Turley, Broc Turley, Emily Turley, Katrina Gerger, Mark Turley, Grace Turley, Christopher Raff and Fred Elliott; sister, Virginia Holmes of Grangeville, Idaho; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Raff in 1970 and her husband, Glen Raff in 1996.
