Margaret Saunders Larson

Margaret Saunders Larson, 84, of La Grande died May 4 at her home. Burial will be at Forest Grove Cemetery in Detroit Lakes, Minn. Celebration of life services will begin Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in La Grande.

Mrs. Larson was born February 2, 1921 to Jack and Marge Trunkey Saunders in Fargo, N.D. She grew up in Fargo and was married to Bud Larson in 1941. After Mr. Larson's retirement in 1969 they moved to Detroit Lakes. Mr. Larson died in 1996. Mrs. Larson moved to La Grande in 2000 to be near family. She was a dear and honored member of the family and loved participating in birthday celebrations, holidays and all other family gatherings. Mrs. Larson also enjoyed the company of her many friends, was active in her church, a member of several bridge clubs and was an avid reader. She was a lifelong homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include a brother, Frank Saunders of Bird Island, Minn.; children, Margaret McKinnon of Hot Springs, Ark. and Mark Larson of La Grande; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 902 Fourth Street, La Grande.
