Lyndon J. Johnson

Lyndon J. Johnson, 47, of Baker City and formerly of La Grande died Feb. 15 at St. Elizabeth Health Services. A memorial service will be set at a later date. Coles Funeral Home in Baker City is in charge of arrangements.

Lyndon was born Nov. 19, 1961, to Herman J. and Mabel H. (Groshan) Johnson in Hermiston. He worked as a construction project superintendent, and enjoyed the outdoors, steelhead fishing, camping and picking mushrooms and huckleberries.

After his mother's death in 1962, Lyndon was raised by his great-aunt and great-uncle, Bernice and Harold Harding

He is survived by his fiancé, Ferrel Gawith of Baker City; four sons, Aaron, Aric and Adam Johnson, all of Portland, and Alexander Johnson of La Grande; one daughter, Jessica Johnson of La Grande; and two sisters, Mary Sieders and Teri Simonis, both of La Grande. He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Ashley and Ariel Johnson; and a great-aunt and great-uncle, Bernice and Harold Harding.

Memorial contributions may be made to any charity in care of Coles Funeral Home, 1950 Place St., Baker City 97814.
