Louise May Peterman, age 90, of Cove died Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at her home. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 19, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Cove with Pastor David Allen officiating. Interment will follow at the Cove cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels Chapel of the Valley.
Louise May Peterman was born on July 7, 1914, the daughter of George and Clara (Witt) Anderson in Cove. She spent her early years in Cove before she met and married Eugene Robinson on January 24, 1933. Together they moved for a short time to Portland where Eugene worked in the ship yards during World War II. After his service they returned to Cove where they owned and operated the Cove corner store until Eugene's death on July 1, 1955. Louise would later marry Lester Peterman on July 1, 1960. He preceded her in death in November 1977. She was very active in the Calvary Baptist Church where she played music, she also enjoyed hand crafting quilts, yard work, trips to the mountains to cut wood, and most of all loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Rick and Kim Robinson of Cove, Stan and Bobbye Robinson of Troutdale, Oregon, Richard and Judy Robinson of Oahu, Hawaii and a step-daughter Judy Potts; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. A brother Eugene Anderson preceded her in death.
