Louis William Corley

Louis William Corley, age 64, of Ukiah, died Saturday, October 26, 2002 at the Grande Ronde Hospital.


Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2002 at 2:00 pm at the Ukiah Cemetery in Ukiah, Oregon. Those who wish may make contributions in memory of Mr. Corley to the Oregon Cancer Society in care of Daniels Chapel of the Valley, 1502 7th Street, La Grande, Oregon.


Mr. Corley was born on October 6, 1938, the son of Elvin Louis "Mike" and Mabel Louise (Cox) Corley in Hamilton, Oregon. He attended schools in Long Creek and graduated from Monument High School. On August 22, 1957 he married Mary Vinson in Prairie City. He loved to log and worked in Dale, Oregon before moving to Ukiah 18 years ago.


Mr. Corley was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a former member of the John Day Elks Lodge. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and the mountains.


Survivors include his wife, Mary Corley of Ukiah; children, Sarah West of McMinnville, Mike Corley of Long Creek, Bill Corley of Pendleton, Sandy Corley of Monument and Pat Corley of Ukiah; grandchildren, Jamie Smith, Tim West, Max Corley, Ben Corley, Matt, Corley, Lisa Corley, Colten Blakeslee, Seth Blakeslee, Bria Corley, Madison Corley and Jordan Corley; great granddaughter, Alex Smith; sister, Verna Weissenflu of Pendleton; brother, Bob Corley of Monument; and other relatives and friends. His parents, brother, Stanley Corley and sister, Joanne Tipton preceded him in death.
