Loraine F. DeRosso, 82, of Wallowa and formerly of La Grande, died Feb. 20 in Tigard. She will be buried next to her husband in Wallowa. There will be a private memorial service March 20 in Seattle.
Loraine was born July 5, 1928, to Rose and Emil Schnieder in Princeton, Neb. She attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo., and Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton and graduated with a teaching degree from what is now Eastern Oregon University in La Grande.
In Missouri, she lived in Kansas City and King City; in Oregon, she lived in Weston and La Grande, retiring in Wallowa.
Loraine married Frank DeRosso July 8, 1951, in Portland. The couple pastored churches for the Assembly of God. Loraine also taught high school in Union and was a park ranger with Oregon Parks and Recreation and the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. She attended the Wallowa Assembly of God Church.
Loraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; and siblings, Marsella, Darlene and LeRoy. Survivors include her sons, Nathaniel of Seattle, Timothy of Mesa, Ariz., Philip of Seattle, and David of Tigard; and sister, Deloris of Dallas.
