Lois Esther Rogers

Lois Esther Rogers, age 85, of La Grande, died June 5, 2015 at the Grande Ronde Retirement Residence. A memorial service will be held on June 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the American Legion. The family requests no flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary or the American Legion Building Fund in care of Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center, 1502 7th Street La Grande.

Lois was born on September 30, 1929, the daughter of George and Loretta (Fulwider) DeLashmutt in La Grande. She graduated from La Grande High School with the class of 1947. She worked at in the office of Pacific Fruit and at Industrial Machinery before marrying Maurice Rogers on April 9, 1950. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, ham radio, flowers and spending time with family.

Survivors include her husband, Maurice Rogers of La Grande; children, David and Dawn Rogers of Union, Karen and Bob Carroll of Spokane, Cindy and Butch Malone of La Grande and Glen and Heidi Rogers of Lewiston, Idaho; siblings, Bill DeLashmutt, Mary Lou DeLashmutt, Walt DeLashmutt and Lora Jane Welk; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by brothers, George, Joe, Dave, Claude and Dan DeLashmutt.
