Lois Marie Moore, age 90, of La Grande, died Wednesday, at her home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center.
Lois was born on August 11, 1922, the daughter of Asa and Anna Pearl (Hansen) Bradley in Tribune, Kansas. She was raised and educated in Kansas and lived in various places before settling in La Grande in the early 1940's. She married Lloyd Moore on August 7, 1954 in La Grande. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Kubler and Dr. Lumsden until Dr. Lumsden retired in the late 1980's. She was a member of the First Christian Church and was a member and past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star. She loved to cook and crochet. She loved to entertain her family and friends.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Larry and Sherlee Ball of Walla Walla, Washington, Linda Ray of Spokane, Washington, Jeff and Lisa Moore of La Grande; Jan and Nick Kovach of Bellevue, Washington; step-children, Darlene, Don and Dale; brother, Arthur Bradley of Otter Rock, Oregon; sister, Dorothy Evans of La Grande; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister and brother during childhood, Anita and Merle Bradley; sister, Erma Hammons and brother, Don Bradley.
