Lois Haire

Lois Haire, age 78, of La Grande, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at her home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Faith Center Four Square Church, 10300 "D" Street in Island City. Private interment will be held in Roseburg, Oregon.

Mrs. Haire was born on November 13, 1926, the daughter of Jesse and Billie (Snow) Wonser in Lowden, Washington. On September 30, 1944 she married Thomas Haire in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Most of their married life was spent in the Roseburg, Oregon area where she owned and operated a Bookkeeping and Tax business. They moved to La Grande in 1993.

Mrs. Haire was active in the La Grande Faith Center Church, the Grande Ronde Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the La Grande Senior Center. She enjoyed sewing and doll making. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her many wonderful friends.

Survivors include her children, Cheryl and Bob Mason of La Grande, Nancy and Terry Rudolf of Salem and Bill and Patsy Haire of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; grandchildren, Hans Rudolf of Medford, Ryan Rudolf of Ione, Kellie Forbes of La Grande, Brian Haire of Roseburg and Julie Haire of John Day; great grandchildren, Aaron and Jaiden Haire of Roseburg and Jillian and Thomas Rudolf of Ione; sister, June Galloway of Idaho; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Haire; grandson, Matthew Mason, and brothers, Melvin and Adrian Wonser.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to the Grande Ronde Hospital Home Care Services in care of Daniels Chapel of the Valley, 1502 7th Street, La Grande, Oregon 97850.
