Lloyd Harold Kincade, 86, of La Grande, died May 12 at Evergreen Rehabilitation Center.
A celebration of life potluck will run from noon til 5 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Park.
Lloyd was born May 15, 1921, to William and Grace Cormican Kincade in Minomonie, Wis. Those who knew him considered Lloyd a man of many talents. He served in North Africa and Italy during World War II. Following the war, he married Patricia Workinger. The couple had eight children.
He loved the outdoors, especially the hills where he had his gold claims. He held many jobs throughout his life, working as a logger, airplane mechanic, log truck driver, log truck mechanic and welder.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia; daughters, Valeria Maestas and her husband, Frank, Lynn Houston and her husband, Leo, Beverly Givens and her husband, Jim, Leslie Kincade and her special friend, Wade Debraal, and Jill Kincade; sons, Kevin Kincade and Beau Kincade and his wife, Darla; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 18-month-old son, Patrick Lloyd Kincade, in November 1952.
