Linda Sue Miller Taylor

February 3, 1941 — July 11, 2004

Linda Sue Miller Taylor, 63 of Wallowa and formerly of Elgin and Union County, died July 11 at her home. Burial at Highland Cemetery near Elgin will be private. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Elgin Christian Church with Pastor Terry Tollefson officiating.

Mrs. Taylor was born February 3, 1941, to Donald D. and Harriet S. Miller in Tulare, California. She graduated from high school there in 1958 and married Davis Taylor on June 10, 1961, in Tulare. She studied home economics and traveled to primitive places to teach families how to make a home and raise children with very little means.

The family lived in various places before moving to Union County in 1983. She was an EMT and enjoyed taking care of people, gardening, crafts, baking and quilting. She was a member of the Blue Mountain Quilters and will be remembered as a wonderful mom, grandma and friend.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years and her father, both of Wallowa; children and their spouses, Bonnie and Terry Tollefson of Wallowa and Kimberly and Barry Summers of Elgin; three brothers and their wives, Don and Evelyn Miller of Aloha, James and Jamie Miller of San Luis Obispo, California, and Arthur and Roma Jean Miller of Bakersfield, California; and other relatives. Her mother died earlier.
