Linda Laurell Hiatt

March 20, 1942 — January 1, 2008

Linda Laurell Hiatt, age 65, of Burbank, Washington, died January 1, 2008 in Kennewick, Washington. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summerville Cemetery Chapel. Burial will follow. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 from 11:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Faith Assembly Christian Center, 1800 Road 72 in Pasco, Washington. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center.

Mrs. Hiatt was born on March 20, 1942, the daughter of Laurel Edgar and Mildred LaVoyle (Payne) Witty in La Grande. She graduated from Elgin High School. On November 11, 1961 she married Eldon Hiatt in Elgin. In 1994 they moved to Burbank. She worked for Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute for ten years.

Mrs. Hiatt enjoyed square dancing, camping, water skiing, motorcycle rides and cruise trips to the Caribbean. She was active in her church and the Royal Family Kids Camp, which she crocheted crosses for the camp kids for many years, making 70 crosses each year. She was a member of the Elgin Rainbow Girls when she was young and a member of the Emblem Club and the Eagles Auxiliary. She adored her grandsons, Clayton and Case.

Survivors include her husband, Eldon of Burbank; son, Jerry Hiatt of Spokane; son & daughter-in-law, Michael and Betty Hiatt of Hermiston; brother & sister-in-law, Kenneth and Carolyn Witty of Enterprise; grandsons, Clayton and Case Hiatt; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded by her parents and a daughter, Judy Hiatt.
