Lillian Darlene Thompson, 63, of Albany, and formerly of La Grande, died the morning of Jan. 29 at home. At the family's request, no services are planned at this time. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lillian was born March 28, 1946, to Charlie and Helen (Searles) Paxton in La Grande. She grew up in Baker City and La Grande. After high school, she earned a degree in criminal justice and worked as a corrections corporal. In 1963 she married Harold Thompson and in 1988 moved to the mid valley.

She loved fishing, woodworking and crocheting and enjoyed pogo.com. Lillian also liked to spend time at the coast and casinos and loved her grandchildren.

Lillian is survived by her husband; children, Harold Thompson Jr. of Albany, Lanet Dunigan of Stayton and Paula Arnett of Molalla; brothers, Chuck Paxton and Everett Kimball of Pendleton; sister, Maxine Scott of Wallowa; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Charles Kimball; and sister, Arlene Sellers.
