Lillian M. Jepsen Rogers, 87, of Salem and formely of La Grande died Oct. 14 at her home. A celebration of life will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, 902 Fourth St.
Mrs. Rogers was born April 8, 1917, to Charles Theodore and Emma Matilda Olson in Omaha, Neb. She attended the Universiy of Nebraska at Lincoln and on June 12, 1938, she married Richard Lewis Jepsen who worked for Union Pacific Railroad. The family lived in Omaha until 1951 when they moved to Portland, and in 1955 to La Grande. After her husband's death she married Benjamin Lee Rogers in 1973. She moved to Salem in 2003 to be near family.
She was devoted to her church and enjoyed cooking, baking cookies and Swedish coffee cakes, and playing bridge.
Survivors include children, Dr. Constance Hellge of Salem and Lynnette Jepsen of Portland; stepchildren, Ron Rogers of Burbank, Wash., Bill Rogers of Culp Creek and Ken Rogers of Lebanon; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her husband, three brothers, Oscar, Carl and Arthur Olson, and a son, Richard Jepsen II, all died earlier.
